Miss India Manushi Chhillar Crowned Miss World 2017


The 54th Femina Miss India World, Manushi Chhillar wins the prestigious title of Miss World 2017.  A medical student from Haryana, Manushi Chhillar gets the crown back to the country after 17 years, The last time, Priyanka Chopra won the jewel in 2000.

Competing with beauties from over 108 nations, Manushi won hearts and was crowned in the Sanya City Arena in China PR by Miss World 2016 winner Puerto Rico's Stephanie Del Valle. 

Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was announced as the first runner-up, while Miss England Stephanie Hill was declared the second runner-up at an event held at Sanya City Area.

Her entire family including brother and sister were present and they looked excited watching Manushi making it to the top five spots.

In question and answer round post getting the top five spot, Manushi was asked: “Which profession deserves the highest salary and why?”

And like the star that she was, she said that the mother of the highest respect. 

“I think a mother is of highest respect. I don’t think its just about cash but love and respect she gives to someone. She is the biggest inspiration in my life. 

Mother should get highest respect," she explained.

Manushi Chillar, born to doctor parents from Haryana, studied at St. Thomas School in Delhi and Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonepat.
